testing lens: just clicks, but shutter stays put

hi there,

I am now testing my 'new' gl690, with a 100mm f3.5.
As stated in the manual, I have set the camera to s-setting, I opened the
back, cocked the lever twice, but when pushing the
shutter button, I hear a small click, but the leaves of the shutter
don't move.
Am I doing somehting wrong, what can be concluded.
Hope for some advice, cause it's frustrating.

apparently, holding the camera above the heating and clocking the shutter several times
got is to work. NICE:)
Does this tell me anything about the working order?

Hi,

It sounds like the shutter in your lens might use a good cleaning. This could also be an issue with one of the interlocks in the body. You should have your camera checked. If you are in the USA, try one of these:

Hmm,
I wil soon receive two extra lenses, so if they don;t have the problem at all, I can
savely conclude the 100mm is faulthy, or at least could use a good cleaning.
I am in EU, netherlands to be precize,
I will see if I can find someone to service it there,

thanks

I received two other lenses, and they work just fine.
It must be the one lens than... is it difficult/expensive to have it cleaned (the 100mm).
is it possible to do it yourself?

love ot hear about it.

These Fuji lenses contain Seiko 0 shutters, which are not overly difficult to repair if you have some experience in repairing shutters. If not, leave it to a qualified repair person.
