is it easy to repair this yourself, or should i send it to a repairman? if you recommend the latter, who should i send it to and how much does it cost?

ps. avoid "cloudermilk" on ebay. *sniff*

Aizan,

It depends on your technical skills. If you are handy and have some experience with repairing cameras, you could try to do it yourself, but you may run into trouble if you have to replace some broken parts. If you need, I can send you a copy of the relevant pages in the repair manual.

If you don't feel confident, please don't try. Send the camera to Frank, he will do an excellent job.

Cheers,

Sebastien

Aizan,

I have scanned the relevant pages of the repair manual and put them in a PDF. You can download it here (beware: big file!).

Cheers,

Sebastien

thanks! i think i'll give it a try. the damn thing works when you heat it up with a hair dryer, so it should be repairable without new parts, i'd say. =)
