SIMPLE 100mm ae question

Postby gameone » Tue Aug 10, 2010 10:40 am

hi there,
does anyone knows if the 100AE lens can be used as a regular 100mm.
So just ignore the automatic exposure part of it, and just measure your own light
and set the aparture and speed yourself??

hope to hear about it, greets, Sam

Hi Sam!

Sorry for the late answer. The 100mm AE lens can of course be used in manual mode: just turn the shutter speed ring on the lens from the "AE" setting to any speed of your liking. The small meter on the side of the lens can then be used to determine the correct shutter setting, according to the film speed and aperture selected.

Cheers!
